What is Coaching Supervision ?
‘Coaching & Mentoring Supervision is a formal process of professional support which ensures continuing development of the coach and effectiveness of his/her coaching practice through interactive reflection, interpretive evaluation and the sharing of expertise’ Bachkirova, Stevens & Willis 2005.
Patti Stevens founded the Coaching Supervision Consultancy Limited in 2004 and wrote what was probably the first article about Coaching Supervision for the January edition of Training Journal that same year. She also co-founded the Association for professional Coaching and Supervision (APECS), serving on the Board for over ten years. Since 2004 Coaching Supervision has become established and embedded in brings extensive knowledge, wisdom and experience to this field supporting individuals and organisations in through consultancy work, developing programmes or providing individual and group coaching supervision.
The Supervision relationship (a requirement of membership of all Professional Coaching bodies) is integral to assuring high standards of practice, quality control & development of an effective practitioner/practice.

Incorporating the Coaching Signatures Profile® to enhance your practice
Over recent years CSC has developed the unique Coaching Signatures Profile®, the aim of which is to raise awareness and extend the coaching repertoire enabling coaches (and organisations) to recognise the coaching posture(s) coaches adopt when working with clients. This unique insight enables coaches to help their supervisees articulate and evaluate their coaching through the coaching relationship.
